Bangladesh violence: Labour Party councillor Pushpita on sit in demonstration in London

BY A STAFF REPORTER:

A Labor Party councillor of Redbridge in London, Pushpita Gupta along with her supporters will sit on an indefinite protest in front of the Bangladesh High Commission over massive violence against the Hindu community in Bangladesh. Speaking exclusively to ANM News over phone from London, Pushpita Gupta said that she and her supporters will reach the Bangladesh High Commission office within 6 AM and sit on a demonstration. ``We have demanded that the High Commissioner apologizes for the violence, death and torture of Hindu community in Bangladesh during the Durga puja festival,'' she said. Gupta and her supporters are also demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and adequate security for the Hindus and other religious minorities. ``We will start from 6 AM and continue to sit there as long as the High Commissioner does not take our memorandum and accede to our demands,'' she added.
