Road accident on navami night in Canning

On the night of Navami, the motor van driver was killed when he was hit by a bike on his way back from seeing  durga idol with his wife and son. The incident took place around 12.30pm last night at Gopalpur in Canning. Bholanath Haldar, 35, was returning home with his wife and son after seeing Thakur in a motor van. He was hit by a bike coming from the opposite side and was hit on the road. The motor van driver was declared brought dead when he was taken to Canning subdivision hospital. The biker has been detained by canning police station.
