A fortnight after an open spat between three senior IPS officers in North Bengal, a move is afloat to calm the frayed nerves. The Inspector General of police, north bengal has spoken to the three warring IPS officers in an effort to bring the situation under control. ANM News had reported that DIG Jalpaiguri range E Annappa had allegedly submitted a reports against the SPs of two districts of north Bengal claiming that they are turning a blind eye to ``illegal activities which are rampant in the area.'' Sources had told ANM News that in his report Annappa had held the two SPs responsible for ``inaction.'' Sources also mentioned that the two SPs complained against the DIG to the IGP North Bengal, DP Singh. The state police directorate sought a report from IGP, North Bengal. Sources claimed that the state home department and DGP Manoj Malaviya were aware of the situation and monitoring the developments.
