‌Mphasis' US arm acquires design firm Blink Interactive for $94 mln

Mphasis Ltd's wholly-owned subsidiary Mphasis Corp, USA has acquired the US-based design consultancy firm Blink Interactive Inc for $94 mln, the company said in an exchange filing.

Founded in 2000, Blink Interactive provides design consultancy services such as user experience, user research-based software product design and strategy. The company specialises in an evidence-driven design process for services and product development.

The total addressable market for upstream user research, strategy and design is growing 25-30% per annum, which is four-to-five times the size of the overall information technology services market, Mphasis Chief Executive Officer Nitin Rakesh said in a release.

Blink has grown at a compounded annual growth rate of over 40% in the past three years, and has a strong client base in technology and consumer industries with an average relationship spanning around 10 years, the company said.

The acquisition will allow Mphasis to offer enhanced research design operations, while Blink's leadership team will strengthen its organisation.
