Sarada Kartar appealed to the court to get rid of the ED's case

By a staff reporter:  Sarada chief Sudipta Sen was arrested from Kashmir in 2013, six years ago today. Then in October 2013, the ED or Enforcement Directorate filed a case against Sarada Karta under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Meanwhile, Sudipta's lawyer Biplob Goswami claimed that in the case filed by the ED, he could be jailed for a maximum of seven years under that section. The court also granted bail in that case in 2015. However, Sudipta was not released from jail as there were a few more cases. Meanwhile, the lawyer claimed that Sudipta has been in jail for 11 more months than the maximum sentence. In that case, Sudipta Sen applied to the court to get rid of the ED.
