Former CJ, Manjula Chellar to head SIT probing post poll violence

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Justice Manjula Chellar, former chief justice of Kolkata High Court, has been appointed to head the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe post poll violence in West Bengal. According to notifications, the Kolkata High Court had earlier appointed three senior IPS officers to form the SIT. The state government nominated ten IPS officers to assist the SIT in the probe.
