​By a Staff Reporter: Minor ash emissions have been observed by surveillance cameras starting around 06:50 local time this morning in New Zealand. The activity is characterized by "only" venting of small to moderate ash from the active vent area. A satellite image from today shows an ash plume that reached the Bay of Plenty area.
