Ten IPS officers to assist High Court appointed SIT in post poll violence

The state government has offered the services of several IPS officers to assist the Kolkata High Court constituted Special Investigation Team to probe post poll violence in West Bengal. According to the circular, Soma Das Mitra and Subhankar Bhattacharjee will assist the SIT in investigations in the headquarters region. DP Singh and Praveen Tripathi will be the nodal officers in North zone, Sanjay Singh and Dr BL Mina in West zone, SN Gupta and Prasun Bandopadhayay in south zone and Tanmay Ray Chaudhuri and Nilanjan Biswas in Kolkata police area. The director general of police telecommunications, Suman Bala Sahoo is heading the SIT.
