Islamic militants fired rockets at the Hamid Karzai International airport but the US mentioned that they were intercepted by a missile defence system. There has been no casualty in the rocket attack, according to White House spokesperson. Locals however alleged sporadic gunfire and explosions in a few Kabul neighbourhoods.
