McLeod Russel falls 10% after large deals on bourses

Shares of McLeod Russel India were locked in the lower circuit of 10% at 24.75 rupees, after several large deals were struck on the bourses at a discount to the previous closing price.

Five large deals were struck on both the NSE and BSE, aggregating 891,540 shares or 0.9% stake at 24.7 rupees a share,compared with the previous close of 27.50 rupees.

Details of the seller were not immediately known. As on Jun 30, public shareholders held 89.93% stake in the tea leaves cultivator, while the rest is held by promoters.
