Rain likely to come down in Kolkata from today. However, heavy rain forecast in Purulia, orange alert issued. Heavy rain may occur in West Midnapore, West Burdwan, Bankura. Yellow alert has been issued in these three districts. The Alipore Meteorological Department said the low pressure along the Bangladesh coast is gradually moving towards Jharkhand and Bihar via the western part of the state. Kolkata will still be drenched in rain due to this. Heavy to very heavy rain is forecast in several districts of South Bengal.
