9 killed, 100 injured in Pakistan's Swat Valley

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Pakistan was shaken by a massive earthquake on Tuesday night. At least nine people were killed and nearly 100 others injured in the Swat valley of Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province after a 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck. Bilal Faizi, a spokesman for Pakistan's emergencies department, said nine people were killed when roofs collapsed in different parts of northwest Pakistan. Most of the injured have been discharged from the hospital, Faizi said. According to sources, the earthquake caused landslides in some hilly areas, which disrupted traffic movement.
