BY A STAFF REPORTER: Heavy unseasonal rains lashed Mumbai and adjoining cities on Tuesday, bringing down the temperature. Transport services are being disrupted due to unseasonal rains. Cities like Thane, Mira-Bhayander and Vasai-Virar have also received heavy rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the storm was attributed to the intrusion of westerly winds and moisture from the Arabian Sea. It is unusual for Mumbai to receive rain in March.
