BY A STAFF REPORTER: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline through video conferencing on March 18. "This is the first cross-border energy pipeline between India and Bangladesh, built at an estimated cost of Tk 377 crore. The Government of India has borne Rs 285 crore under the grant assistance. "The pipeline has a capacity to transport 1 million metric tonnes (MMTPA) of high-speed diesel (HSD) annually. Initially, high-speed diesel will be supplied to seven districts in the northern part of Bangladesh. '
