Indian Coast Guard conducts Colombo Security Conclave

 ​Kolkata: The Indian Coast Guard on Wednesday organised the fourth edition of a special exercise under the supervision of colombo security conclave in Kolkata. Apart from the Indian Coast Guard, national national stakeholders from Bangladesh, Maldives, Mauritius, Siachal, Sri Lanka and other maritime regions participated in the exercise. 







Various issues such as tackling various maritime challenges, tackling marine pollution, search, rescue and damage control at sea were discussed in this special programme. The Colombo Security Conclave was formed in 2011 as a tripartite maritime security group of India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The Colombo Security Conclave highlights regional cooperation and common security goals with all coastal countries in the Indian Ocean region.
