BY A STAFF REPORTER: Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for the attack on the village of Mukondi, about 30 kilometers south of the city of Beni in congo's eastern Kivu province. An army spokesman said Islamist militants attacked the village in retaliation for a military operation against rebel activity, killing at least 35 people.
