BY A STAFF REPORTER: Belgium's nationwide strike has resulted in the closure of public services. Traffic congestion has started due to the strike. The strikers have been protesting the decline in investment and employment by trade unions and demanding that pension reforms be curtailed. Train services have been suspended in large parts of Belgium due to the strike.
