It is alleged that holi celebrations were stopped on the campus of Panjab University in Pakistan. Several students from the minority Hindu community are feared to have been injured in the incident. Holi is a festival of colours, celebrated to mark the beginning of spring. The incident reportedly took place when Hindu students gathered at The Law College of Panjab University to celebrate Holi. The Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University has ordered an inquiry but no one has been arrested. "We were celebrating Holi peacefully. Then Jamaat-e-Islami came and started beating. "If Eid and other festivals can be celebrated peacefully, why can't the festival of colours be celebrated?" the student asked.
