A Southwest Airlines spokesman confirmed the accident. Southwest Flight 3923 from Havana, Cuba, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was hit by birds in the engine and nose shortly after take-off. No one was seriously injured in the incident and all passengers landed safely in Havana.
