BY A STAFF REPORTER: The death toll from tornadoes and heavy rains in the southern United States has risen to nine. Kentucky Governor Andy Bessier said at least two tornadoes hit the western part of his state on Friday. The governor said at least three people had died in extreme weather conditions. A woman has been killed in a storm in Kentucky. More than 14 lakh houses and businesses have been left without electricity in the storm-hit states.
