BY A STAFF REPORTER: After a long movement and hunger strike, the process of canceling the jobs of the ineligible has started one by one. This time, the jobs of 618 people have been canceled due to corruption in the recruitment of SLST teachers. The School Service Commission (SSC) had earlier rejected the recommendation after admitting corruption. This time the Board of Secondary Education has canceled the appointment letter. A notification was issued on Friday announcing the cancellation of the appointment. There were allegations of OMR fraud in the recruitment of these posts. The SSC also accepted that the allegation was true. It was alleged that the OMR sheets of 803 people of 9th-10th were distorted i.e. the numbers obtained were changed. The case was filed in the Calcutta High Court. In compliance with the High Court's order, the SSC published a list of 618 names.
