Former Union minister passes away today

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Once again, the shadow of deep grief descended on the indian politics. Former Union Minister Satyabrata Mukherjee passed away on Friday. He died at his home in Ballygunge. He was union minister of state during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee regime. He served as the State Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers from September 2000 to June 2002 and later as the State Minister for Commerce and Industry from July 2002 to October 2003.
