Rain expected in Southern California after rare snowfall

BY A STAFF REPORTER: After a rare snowfall in Los Angeles, Southern California is preparing for a number of weak storms that could bring winds and rain to coastal areas this week, and more heavy snowfall in the mountainous areas of northern and central California. About 70,000 consumers in California were reported to be without power on Sunday. The National Weather Service (NWS) said several "weak storms" would sweep over Los Angeles, starting Sunday night and ending on Wednesday.
