'Shiv Sena' party name, 'Bow and Arrow' symbol to be retained by Eknath Shinde faction: ECI

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A big blow to the Uddhav Thackeray camp. Uddhav Thackeray lost all the party and the party symbol founded by Baba Balasaheb Thackeray. On Friday, the Election Commission of India handed over the right to use 'Shiv Sena' as the party's name and 'bow and arrow' as the party symbol to the Eknath Shinde camp. The Election Commission observed that the shiv sena's current constitution is undemocratic. A certain group of persons have been appointed as ex-officio undemocratically without any election. The Election Commission said it had no faith in such a party structure.
