Roads or crater in Bidhannagar

By A Staff Reporter: Chief minister Mamata Banerjee is firm on broad and better roads in Kolkata and surrounding areas for seamless traffic movement. 

But situation is absolutely on the contrary. A visit around Salt Lake revealed that roads in CG block, DG block near Udyachal tourist lodge, FD, FE, AG blocks, Canal Side Road and in sector 3 are in precarious condition. 

Locals alleged that no effort has been taken by Bidhannagar Muncipal Corporation to repair the roads over the last few years. 

Although BMC has done some patchwork but residents claimed that these were waste of money. 

A few residents mentioned that money has changed hands but work has not been done to repair the roads.
