But Dilip’s widow, Minarani Sarkar has managed to turned the equation elbowing out Mimi as the BJP candidate. But look at the predicament. She is up against her own nephew, Partha Ranjan Sarkar, a former Congress worker who recently switched over to Forward Bloc. Dilip Sarkar’s elder brother Rajkumar Sarkar is an active Congressman. The Sarkars of Badharghat are known to be politically active in the region. Incidentally Minarani Sarkar is a councillor of Agartala Municipal Corporation.
