ASEAN-India Youth Summit will boost economy: Telangana Governor

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Speaking on the sidelines of the 4th ASEAN-India Youth Summit, the Hon'ble Governor of Telangana said that ASEAN and India relations form the central pillar of India's Act East Policy, which heralded the establishment of modern India-ASEAN cooperation three decades ago. It has developed a wide range of economies, including socio-cultural cooperation, strategic aspects, connectivity, as well as new and emerging technologies. This policy has further improved the relationship between ASEAN and India from sectoral partnership in 1992 to strategic partnership in 2012 and comprehensive strategic partnership in 2022. The agenda of this summit includes some of the thematic issues of our time such as connectivity, digital partnerships, developmental cooperation and good governance, and people-to-people and cultural ties. This will further improve ASEAN-India relations.
