BY A STAFF REPORTER: U.S. military warplanes shot down an octagonal object near Lake Huron, the fourth object to be shot down this month, as North American security forces are on high alert for an airborne threat, U.S. officials said. "President Joe Biden ordered the object to be shot down as it passed over the Upper Peninsula in Michigan and near Lake Huron on the U.S.-Canada border," a U.S. official said. A U.S. official said the object appeared to be octagonal. Officials say it did not pose a military threat or have the capability to monitor, but could potentially interfere with domestic aviation.
