India's daughter wins gold at the age of 17

BY A STAFF REPORTER: 17-year-old Vinatai Aher from Nashik won the gold for Maharashtra. He lifted a total of 129kg, including 57kg in snatch and 72kg in clean and jerk, to set a record at the Youth Games. Vinatai said he wanted to win a medal for the country. "It was a great experience to be here. The competition is also very good. It will open the way for players like us to move forward. From here I have to go to international. I will do whatever I need to do to get selected in the national team. My aim is to win medals for the country," said Vinatai Aher.
