IMD predicts heavy rains in West Coast

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains in the West Coast in the next couple of days.  An alert has been sounded in all the states along the West Coast. Fishermen has been asked not to venture into the high seas and people staying in low-lying areas have been warned that they might have to be evacuated.
