Deadly earthquake in Turkey and Syria kills more than 120 people with fears casualties will rise

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Frantic rescue efforts were under way after a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkey and northern Syria early on Monday, killing more than 120 people and levelling buildings while many were still asleep.Several hours after the strong quake, as rescue teams rushed to find people affected, the scale of destruction was slowly beginning to take shape.
