BY A STAFF REPORTER: Nagaland assembly elections will be held on February 27. Meanwhile the report of Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) is not good about education system of state. Report says, One out of every 10 people in the 14-16 age group in Nagaland is not attending school in rural areas, according to the Latest . However, 'Not in School' refers to students who have never been admitted to school or are out of school. Age-wise data for the age group of 6-16 years shows that in the case of Nagaland, most of them are school dropouts. According to a report released in New Delhi on January 19, 9.4 per cent of children in the age group of 15-16 years do not go to school. The percentage of out-of-school children aged 6-14 years was only 0.7%, indicating that the majority were dropping out of school in the intervening period.
