BSF recovers suspected drugs

On 01st Feb' 2023, during night hours, the BSF achieved a major breakthrough in the area near Mumbek village in Fazilka district on the Punjab border. The security force heard the sound of a suspicious flying object (drone) entering The Indian territory from Pakistan, the red light was noticed. 

According to reports, the security forces opened fire and tried to stop the drone. The entire area was then cordoned off and the police and its associate agencies were informed. During a search operation in the area, BSF personnel recovered three packets of contraband, including heroin (2.622 kg) and a blinker device, from a wheat field near Mumbek.
