BY A STAFF REPORTER: In 2022, the SP's bastion outside the sugarcane committee in Civil Lines was vandalised. The SP had accused BJP workers of vandalism. Former SP district president Akhilesh Gangwar said, "We had set up a bed outside the sugarcane committee polling station. BJP people came and broke our table chair. We pleaded with the police and administration officials. The police were also at the spot, but no one helped.
