BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Israeli military said On Saturday it was strengthening forces in the occupied West Bank after a Palestinian gunman opened fire near a synagogue on the outskirts of Jerusalem, killing seven people. "After assessing the situation by the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces), it has been decided to strengthen the Judea and Samaria (West Bank) divisions with additional battalions," the Israeli military said. '
