On Friday afternoon, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said, "Today, residents of Kabul protested in different parts of the city. A spokesman for the provincial government in northern Badakshan province said thousands of people had gathered and protested after Friday prayers. Mahjudden Ahmadi said, "The slogan of the protesters was 'Death to Sweden, the United States and the United Nations'. Referring to the Taliban administration, he said, "The Taliban have said that such actions should not be repeated, they have asked the Islamic Emirate to take a strong stand against such activities."
