BY A STAFF REPORTER: With India failing to qualify for the quarter finals, experts have called for sacking of head coach Graham Reid. “This is an aging team. Many players have forgotten the basics of hockey like trapping and shooting and were found struggling with their fitness,” a senior hockey player mentioned. There were demands that senior hockey players who were found to be struggling should hung up their boots and forced out of the team. India should have gone to the World Cup with a youthful team instead of such a dilapidated squad.
