Learn about the beginning of Khelo India

On January 31, 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Khelo India School Games based on the 'Guru-Shishya Tradition'. It was held at the Indira Gandhi Arena. The Khelo India School Games were renamed as Khelo India Youth Games from the 2019. Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the second edition of the event at the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex at Balewadi in Pune.
