Which is correct, Republic Day or Democracy Day?

By A Staff Reporter : Republic Day of India is celebrated on January 26.Many people call the day as the day of democracy.But which one is right, you know?According to many, these two are almost the same. But there is a slight difference in meaning.Citizens and masses are the same thing.Where a monarchy exists, the people are called subjects.

There is no monarchy in India. So it is more reasonable to call India a democracy.But democracy can exist even from kings and queens. These can be called republics. But many people think that it is not very logical to use the word 'republic' in those countries where there are no kings and queens. Like India or America. The term 'generalism' should be used for these countries.
