Russia, Ukraine deploying 'important forces' in Zaporizya: UK

BY A STAFF REPORTER: According to the UK Ministry of Defence, the war in Ukraine is a state of stalemate. The ministry said there is a possibility of Russian progress around the city of Bakhmut in the Donbass region, but otherwise there is little movement. Russian and Wagner proxy forces have gathered in Soledar since capturing the city earlier this week. Meanwhile, further south of Zaporizhiya, both sides have mobilized "significant forces" with artillery exchanges and skirmishes, but avoided any large-scale offensive attempts. Near Cremina in northeastern Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky's forces achieved some small-scale successes and defended against Russian counter-attacks.
