Know about Beating Retreat before Republic Day

By A Staff Reporter : Many people do not know what Beating Retreat is.It marks the official end of Republic Day celebrations.Three days after January 26, the Beating Retreat was held in the evening of January 29.The three main branches of the Indian military, the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force, participated in the retreat.

The event was held at Raisina Hill and Vijay Chowk, between the Central Secretariat of India and the North Block and South Block buildings of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, on the edge of Rajpath.The Chief Guest of the function is the President of India, who is escorted by the cavalry 'PBG' (President's Bodyguards).When he/ she arrived, the PBG captain ordered his troops to salute. This was followed by the singing of the Indian National Anthem by the military. In addition to this music, various bands of combined land, water and air forces, pipe, bugle etc. musical instruments also organized the last patriotic song of the program.
