Egypt's President to visit India on Republic Day

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has been invited to be the chief guest of India's Republic Day celebrations on January 26. This is probably the visit of the President of Egypt to India to further strengthen the ancient relations between the two ancient civilizations. Since India has taken over as the President of the G-20, the invitation to the leader of an important African country points to India's role as the voice of the South and the mediator between the global South and the North.
