By A Staff Reporter : 26th January is an important day for Indians.Republic Day is celebrated on January 26.Mahatma Gandhi named the day 'Independence Determination Day'.At the end of 1929, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru took oath to bring full Swaraj.Then 26 January 1930 was declared as Independence Day.Later on 15 of 1947 August India gained independence ending the British rule and the day was celebrated as Independence Day.The constitution of the country was made almost two and a half years after the Independence Day.



In 1947 Dr. The drafting committee was formed under the leadership of BR Ambedkar.On November 4, 1947, the Drafting Committee headed by Dr. BR Ambedkar submitted the first draft of the Indian Constitution.The Indian Constitution came into force on 26 January 1950. Based on this source, 26th January was declared as Republic Day.
