Security Arrangements Tightened In Rajouri, Poonch Ahead Of Republic Day

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Security has been beefed up in the two bordering districts of Rajouri and Poonch in the wake of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations and the recent recovery of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) from Rajouri city. Tight security arrangements have been put in place in the area since the terror attack in Dhangri village on January 1 and a massive search operation is also underway across Rajouri district in search of the militants. According to official sources, it is important to beef up security ahead of The Republic Day, but extra precautions have been taken this year in the wake of the recovery of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Kheora Rajouri on Tuesday evening.
