BY A STAFF REPORTER: BJP wins in Chandigarh mayor election today. BJP's Chandigarh mayoral candidate Anup Gupta on Tuesday defeated Aam Aadmi Party's Jasbir Singh Laddi by a margin of just one vote. Anup Gupta got 15 seats and Aam Aadmi Party's Singh got 14 seats.
The BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party have 14 councillors each, while the Congress has six councillors, making the Chandigarh mayoral election interesting.
