Chitrabhanu Pathak, Gangasagar : Sunday is the day of Makar Sankranti.A fair is organized in Gangasagar on that occasion.The fair starts from January 8. Will continue till January 17.
The holy bath has started from Saturday afternoon.Pilgrims have gathered in the Gangesagar.It is believed that by taking a holy bath in the GangaSagar, pilgrims can attain virtue.Some are taking a bath in the Ganga and some will offer puja at Kapil Muni's ashram.
After crossing the Covid period, Gangasagar is now crowded on Makar Sankranti Same as before.
