Officials said on Friday it was the third deadly clash of its kind in two months. The incident took place in Chiang Rai province, located near the infamous "Golden Triangle" border region between Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. The task force said in a statement that the clash lasted five minutes and no soldiers were injured. According to sources, about 500,000 methamphetamine pills and a gun were found in the possession of the drug trafficking gang.
