Bar Council of India active in  Calcutta high court case

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The boycott of justice Rajshekhar Manthar's court and the lawyers' protest outside the Calcutta High Court are unprecedented. Meanwhiile Bar Council of India has become active after receiving complaints from a section of lawyers. A group of lawyers has written to the Bar Council of India over protests against Justice Mantha of Calcutta High Court recently.






 A three-member finding committee is coming to Kolkata. Ravindra Raizada, Ashok Mehta and Vandan Kaur Grover are part of the delegation. They will talk to the Registrar General of the High Court and the Bar Association. Meanwhile, the Bar Council of India has said, "The Bar Council of India will not tolerate such incidents. What has happened in Kolkata is very unfortunate. Not only the boycott of the judge's court, but there have also been incidents of sloganeering, putting up posters, which are unexpected. Those involved in this incident are not eligible to be lawyers. '
