STF guns down two Punjab criminals in an encounter

Two dreaded criminals from Punjab were gunned down in an encounter with the Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal police inside a housing complex in New Town.  The two criminals from Punjab identified as Jaspreet Singh and Jaipal Bhuller were staying in the New Town apartment after escaping from Punjab. There are several criminal cases registered against them at Ludhiana in Punjab. Acting on a tip off, STF official surrounded the apartment and shouted at them to surrender but the two rained bullets on them. A STF officer was injured. The police returned fire and the two were gunned down.
