Didier Deschamps on Saturday said he will continue to coach France until the 2026 World Cup. His contract expired after the World Cup in Qatar. Defending champions France lost to Argentina in the penalty shootout after a thrilling final on December 18. French Football Federation (FFF) president Noel Le Graet wanted a two-year extension with the coach until the 2024 European Championships. But the 54-year-old coach is believed to have insisted on keeping the duties until the next World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
